WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO ENSURE PROPER GRINDER START UP
THE METAL TO METAL INTERFACE OF BLADE AND THE KNIFE REQUIRES LUBRICATION DURING START UP. PROPER LUBERCATION PREVENTS UNNECESSARY KNIFE AND PLATE WEAR DUE TO OVERHEATING IT IS POSSIBLE FOR A PLATE TO REACH 800 DEGREES F IF ALLOWED TO RUN WITHOUT LUBRICATIONHER ARE SOME PROCEDURES TO PROLONG KNIFE WEAR AND PLATE LIFE.
COAT KNIVES WITH EDIBLE GREASE DURING ASSEMBLY,
TIGHTEN GRINDER HEAD TO “SET THE KNIFE” FOR SOME GRINDERS YOU MAY WANT SLIGHTLY BACK OFF THE RETAINING RING. BE SURE NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN.
BRING MEAT FORWARD TO THE KNIFE BY CAREFULLY STARTING AND STOPPING THE GRINDER.
